There are some restaurants offering both Vietnamese food and some non-Vietnamese dishes. Mid Range hotels usually boast about offering at least some “Western” dishes, and smaller hotels and guesthouses will normally be able to offer at least something non-Vietnamese. However, don’t expect it to be “just like Grandma used to make”.
Sapa weather and Climate information
The climate of Sapa is highly seasonal, with a subtropical climate in the summer and a temperate climate during the winter. Average temperature for Sapa town is 15.4ºC, with a maximum of 29.4ºC and a minimum of 1ºC.
Sapa also experiences a marked wet season from May to September, with the heaviest rainfall occurring in July and August. The weather is also notorious for changing frequently and quickly. It is said that only in Sapa, one can experience many different seasons within only one day.
Sapa located: 38km from Lao Cai City, Sapa is a mountainous district of Lao Cai Province. Sapa District is very well-known with Sapa Townlet, a beautiful and romantic resort.
At the height of 1,600m above sea level, the average temperature of the area is 15-18oC. It is cool in summer and cold in winter.
Considering the number of travellers to Sapa, organized entertainment is relatively scarce. Mostly it’s a cosy cafe scene at the various guest houses.
The first Western-style watering hole to open in Sapa is at the Bamboo Bar at the Green Bamboo Hotel there’s a free traditional hill-tribe music and dance show from 8.30 to 10.30 pm Friday and Saturday
