“Great 10 day tour from north to south vietnam”
Asia Charm Tours provided a wonderful experience via trains, buses and plane through most of the major sites for our english speaking group of 12 pp. The 10 day tour started in Hanoi and ended in Ho Chi Minh City. Accommodation at the hotels were 3 stars for the most part and were good. Even the sleeping berths in the trains were actually pretty decent although cleanliness of the toilets was lacking but really is the responsibility of the trains and not the tour co. The tour guides in each of the cities we visited were very informative. The length of time in each of the areas visited was sufficient. The mountain hiking tours through the various farming terraced areas were amazing and the locals were friendly. Although at times some of the ladies selling handicrafts were a little overzealous shadowing your every move along the walking trails for hours. Our tour allowed some “shopping time” in Hoi An which was highly recommended for those of us who got quality dresses (US$40) and suits (US$80) custom tailored in less than a day. The only hiccup in the tour was the tour company messed up my plane ticket from Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh city and didn’t use my passport name but my usual name which caused problems in my checking in at the airport. They also interchanged people’s first and last names on the plane reservations for those trying to check in online in advance. When told of the errors, our contact quickly apologized for the mishap and promised would be more cafeful in future. Despite this glitch, the overall tours and service was fantastic and I would highly recommend this 10 day tour with Asia Charm Tours to others as a good mid priced alternative between budget and luxury.
